I. The Setup
The Soothsayland government was set up by the Constitutional framers to be a democratic-republic style government reminiscent of that of the United States. The Constitution allows for the people to vote directly on a wide range of things including Presidential, Senatorial and Mayoral elections, measures, propositions and referendums. Any law passed by congress can be overturned by the voting public via petition for recall election and a 3/5ths majority of the vote.

Any political position that is held (President, Senator, Mayor, etc) may be recalled by the voting public with a 2/3rds majority. In order to pass a constitutional amendment, the idea must be brought to congress who must vote it on to a public ballot via 2/3rds majority and then it must be passed by the public with a simple majority. The only limitation that applies is as follows: an amendment may not be passed which directly violates one of the amendments in the Bill of Rights. The Soothsayland government is split up into three catagories both federally and locally...

 II. The Executive
The executive branch of government is mainly comprised of the President. (Or mayor in the case of local government) The President is limited to two eight year terms but has a number of unique powers such as being the commander and chief of the military, presidential pardon, and veto over Congress (which can be overturned). There is no experience level that must be met, but a Soothsayland president must have been born in Soothsayer, lived here for the last ten years and be 25 years of age. The President may hand pick a cabinet.

 III. The Legislature
The Soothsayland legislative branch is comprised completely of the Congress where 64 congresspeople represent 8 different Soothsayland districts. A new congress is elected every two years and congresspeople can serve a total of 10 terms in congress, or 20 years. Every two years as Congress is re-elected, Congress chooses a congressional speaker from among their ranks, who is the President of Congress and keeps procedures running on schedule, they also are responsible for dividing the Congress into committees and sub committees.

 IV. The Judiciary
The highest court in Soothayer is the Master Court, which is comprised of 7 judges, one of which is selected to be chief justice. The judges are most often appointed by the President and confirmed by congress. The Master Court usually will only call up high level appeal cases that pertain to the Consitution and the Bill of Rights, and it takes the vote of 4 judges in order to bring up a case to the Master Court. Judges are appointed to life terms.

 V. The Bills of Rights
The Soothsayland Constitution Bill of Rights was installed in order to ensure the protection of the rights of Soothsayland citizens. It is composed of 13 amendments which go as follows...
