 | Soothsayer is a small, crescent shaped island off of the west coast of Ireland. As an Island, more importance is naturally placed on the harvesting of seafood and on the navy as the main source of nation guard, while illegal immigration is rarely much of a problem. Soothsayer is neighbored closely by the United Kingdom to the east, Ravenkore (formerly Iceland) in the north, and the likes of Genovia and Cerosa in mainland Europe (France and Spain). Soothsayer has a temporate climate due to its lattitude and posititon in the North Atlantic current. |
Damadis (Red)
Damadis is the capital of Soothsayer, it is also the largest and most populated nation in Soothsayer. The capital was placed here in the 1500's because of its strategic geographical location for military defense. Damadis is often described as the most uncharacteristic Soothsayland city due to vast technological advances and very modern appearance and function, compared to that of other major Soothsayland cities. Damadis is mainly ubarn with some outlying suburban neighborhoods.
Dotaugrust (Purple)
Dotaugrust is second largest by size because it is vastly scattered across the flats of Soothsayer's northwestern mountain range, but only fourth in population. This may be due to the fact that because of its geological location it is one of the coldest cities in Soothsayer, warranting the name of "City of Frost" in Mengaegi. Dotaugrust has areas of modern, urban development as well as more rural areas. The standard of living in Dotaugrust is measured to be one of the lowest in the country.
Altamos (White)
Altamos is possibly the most unique city in Soothsayer. located on the eastern coast of the island, it is home to the nation's second largest naval base which is responsible for the defense of the majority of the east coast. This has recently brought a lot of modern industry to Altamos, but what sets the majority of Altamos apart from the rest of Soothsayer is the medieval architecture that still dominates most of the city and the outlying rural areas. Many of the buildings in Altamos were orginally built in the 16th and 17th century and have been accurately restored by the government in order to preserve the hitorical feel of the city. It is 7th largest in population
Rogeth (Yellow)
Rogeth is the second largest city in Soothsayer and it is home to the nation's largest naval base. Rogeth has its own distinct architechtural style, combining some of the most modern structures in Soothsayer and more primitive building preserved from the 18th century in a unique blend. Rogeth also has the highest measured standard of living in Soothsayer, which has resulted in Rogeth also being one of the fastest growing cities in Soothsayer. Rogeth marks the area around the first spot the European settlers landed in the 11th century upon finding the island.
Cayolende (Blue)
Cayolende is the name of the island and the city located in the center of Soothsayer's crescent bay. This area was only developed as recently as the 20th century due to its hard to reach location. This island is quickly becoming a very popular port in conjuncture with Rogeth and is seeing a considerable population increase due to the recent rise in available jobs. Cayolende is conneted to the main land via three different, lengthy bridges from the north, south, and west and from heavy sea traffic between the island and Rogeth.
Horozca (Black)
Horozca is the economic center of Soothsayer, due mainly to it being the location of the Soothsayland stock market building and the nation's most prominent industrial sector. Horozca is mostly urbanized with some low value semi-urban areas centered around its industrial areas, making for a significantly lowered standard of living and a low population density. Horozca is also the most liberal leaning city in Soothsayer.
Shailocon (Teal)
Shailocon is one of the fastest growing cities in Soothsayer, and is almost exclusively suburban and rural. Shailocon is also centered around one of the most beautiful environments in Soothsayer; being between the Sovisnegodu River and the Forest of Rentash, it is a prime area for agriculture. Shailocon has a very simple, underdeveloped feel to it, and has many areas of very high land value.
Tithnishan (Brown)
Tithnishan is another city in Soothsayer that has only really developed fairly recently. Being a coastal city, Tithnishan thrives on coastal-oriented industry such as tourist cruises and fishing. Tithnishan is also known as the scholarly city for its great investments in education, museums, libraries and other things of educational and scholarly interests, its two main universities, Creekside and UoT are regarded as some of the finest and fastest growing institutions for higher education in the country.
